How do you connect receiver grapes to the FAAC 455D board (code 790917)?
Let's make a very brief premise. Installing a receiver externally to a control unit, rather than using its connector for gate operation purposes, makes no difference. The reasons why we often use receivers with terminals are due to availability at the time of operation and practicality.

In fact, it is much easier to have one receiver in the van that can replace several in terms of brand, frequency and even sometimes coding, than to have the thousands of receivers that exist on the market. How to power a receiver with the FAAC 455D control unit?
Of course, the first concern when connecting an outdoor receiver is to power it. For our example we will use the UNI-RX44-2-PCB receiver, a receiver board capable of learning many FAAC 433 MHz remote controls including SLH.
The receiver's power supply will be taken from that of the accessories, so the negative polarity will be taken from terminal 14, 15 or 16 and the positive polarity from terminal 17 or 18.
How do I connect the START contact between the receiver and the FAAC 455D?
The 455D control box has 2 opening control inputs OPEN A and OPEN B. These two inputs, in the basic configuration, differ to open the first the entire gate and the second the partial or pedestrian part.
Then we should connect the receiver terminals identified as CH1 (channel 1) and CH2 (channel 2) to the OPEN A and OPEN B terminals as in the diagram which you can download by clicking on the following link:

Is connecting a 'universal' receiver dangerous for the system?
