ACE REV PROTECO KIT – Reversible swing gate automation 230V (ACE 4 REV)

Reversible motors: what does it really mean?

ACE 4 REV 230V motors are reversible, i.e.:

• They do not require an unlock key

• No mechanical intervention required for manual opening

• In the event of a blackout or breakdown, simply push the sash manually

The motor opposes a slight mechanical resistance, but the gate can be moved like a traditional manual gate.

Why is it crucial in some installations?

This solution is essential when:

1. The gate is the only access to the house

   • If there is no pedestrian or secondary entrance, with a conventional motor it would not be possible to access from the outside in an emergency.

   • With ACE REV, you simply push the sash.

2. Door opens against walls or structures close together

   • In the presence of walls, railings or very small spaces, a possible failure could make it impossible to mechanically unlock an irreversible engine.

   • With the reversible system, you only have to pull the door manually to close it again.

Why are not only reversible motors used?

Because they have a key feature:

👉 They always require the installation of an electric lock.

Being reversible, without an electric lock the gate would be de facto free:

• A strong wind could open it up

• A simple push could move it

For this reason, the system must be completed with:

• Electric lock (accessory recommended on this page)

• Second pair of safety photocells
