Automatic barrier springs may BFT look the same in appearance, but each barrier uses a specific spring, calibrated by the manufacturer based on strength, elasticity and strength.
For this reason, it is important never to rely only on the photograph of the spare part, but always check the model of the barrier shown on the internal label of the body.
This replacement pre-assembled spring is designed to work exclusively with the following BFT models:
MOOVI 60
GIOTTO 60 BT
GIOTTO 60S BT
GIOTTO 60 U BT
GIOTTO 60S U BT
MICHELANGELO 40
Use on different models may impair the correct movement of the rod and damage the geared motor.
Why is it not compatible with other models?
Although similar in appearance, the springs in the MOOVI, GIOTTO and MICHELANGELO range are specific to each barrier model.
The manufacturer selects the spring based on decisive technical parameters:
A spring that is too strong causes strain on the geared motor when descending.
A spring that is too weak causes uphill strain.
Using an incorrect spring means increasing vibrations, consumption, noise and reducing the service life of the barrier.
How to balance the spring correctly
To achieve smooth, effortless movement:
Unlock the barrier and put it into manual mode.
Position the rod at 45°.
In this position, the pole must remain perfectly still, without rising or falling.
Adjust the spring until you get the correct balance.
Notes to the installer
Always check the model and compatibility.
Never replace springs of different models, even if they are similar.
Correct balancing avoids abnormal stresses and extends the life of the barrier.
If in doubt, it is advisable to photograph the internal plate of the body.
