RU2 – 2-output (2 relay) relay remote unit for safe installations

The XPR RU2 remote unit is specifically designed for installations that require a high level of protection: the reader can be connected to the remote unit that will be installed in a safe area, while the relays manage the lock and/or any alarms.
Key features:

• 2 output relays, each with capacities up to 3 A / 230 V AC or 3 A / 24 V AC/DC.

• 2 inputs for "Request-to-Exit" button (PB1 and PB2).

• Power supply: 9-14 V DC, maximum consumption approx. 80 mA.

• DIN rail mounting (plastic enclosure size 2 units) or surface. PCB dimens. 32 × 86 mm. IP31 degree of protection. Temperature 0°C ÷ +40°C.
  Typical applications: two-door systems, doors + alarm, systems where it is necessary to physically separate the reader from the lock/relay area, installations on DIN electrical panels.
  Strengths:

• Two relays allow for greater flexibility (e.g. door output + alarm, or two doors).

• Independent input for each output button.

• Modular architecture compatible with the XPR Standalone range and with remote relay sending systems for high security.

Installation tips: Place the RU2 unit in a protected technical room and connect the compatible reader(s) via RS-485 bus. Check that the voltage supplied is 9-14 V DC and that the relays are suitable for the intended load (3 A max). When using a door and alarm, set each relay to the desired function (e.g. relay 1 = lock, relay 2 = signalling).
