RU1 – 1-Output Relay Remote Unit (1 Relay) for Access Systems

The RU1 remote unit of XPR allows you to increase the security of the access control system by moving the output of the relay (the lock) to a protected area, separate from the reader installed in an unprotected area.
It supports an RS-485 bus association (max 50 m) to the reader and offers:

• 1 output relay with 2 A / 24 V AC/DC capability.

• 1 input for integrated "Request-to-Exit" (PB) button.

• Power supply: 9-14 V DC, max consumption ~50 mA.

• Operating temperature: 0°C ÷ +40°C, humidity up to 95% non-condensing.

• PCB size: 24 × 24 mm (without case) in basic models.

Area of use: ideal in systems where the reader (keypad, badge, biometric) is installed outside or in an accessible area, while the relay part is positioned inside the building or in a protected technical room, to ensure a higher level of security against tampering.
Technical advantages:

• Physical separation of lock and reader, in accordance with good installation practices.

• Easy connection via RS-485 to compatible reader and easy integration into standalone XPR systems.

• Input for external button, useful for managing the "Request to Exit".

• Compatibility with supported readers such as the MTPADP-EH-SA series.

Note to the installer customer: always check that the power supply is compliant (9-14 V DC) and that the RS-485 connection between the reader and RU1 respects the maximum distance indicated (50 m). After installation, make sure that the reader is paired with the remote unit (pairing).
