Clutch Kit for BFT E5 Engine – Original Part

The E5 BFT electromechanical articulated arm operator is widely used and has the clutch as the element subject to the greatest wear over time. The discs that compose it are of two types: one with a rough surface and one smooth. With use, rough discs tend to smooth out, compromising the clutch's ability to transmit the correct force to the leaf, making it difficult – if not impossible – to move the gate.

The correct level of lubrication is also essential: grease must always be present but never in excess, to avoid problems of sliding or accumulation of dirt.

Another important element is the plastic cover that protects the clutch (available separately in the orange box below). If damaged or absent, it can allow dust and soil to enter, which bind to the grease and accelerate the wear of the discs.

The kit also includes a specific bolt for tightening the new clutch. This features a thread treated with thread-locking material to prevent it from loosening during engine operation. It is therefore essential to install it correctly when first assembled, as removing and reusing it could compromise its tightness over time.
