Spring for Barrier BFT MOOVI 30 / 50 – Versions from 2008

The springs of the automatic barriers may BFT all look the same in terms of aesthetics, but each model uses a spring with specific characteristics of strength, elasticity and strength, defined by the manufacturer after extensive testing.
For this reason, you should never choose the spring based only on the photograph: it is essential to check the model of the barrier and the date of production, information on the internal label of the body.

This spring is only compatible with barriers:

• MOOVI 50RMM

• MOOVI 30RMM

• MOOVI 30S

produced from October 2008 onwards.
The date of manufacture can be seen on the nameplate inside the barrier box.

Why is it not compatible with other models?

Although visually similar, the springs in the MOOVI, GIOTTO and MICHELANGELO series are not interchangeable.
Each barrier uses a calibrated spring with specific values:

• A spring that is too strong forces the geared motor to strain during the descent.

• A spring that is too weak will cause the engine to strain uphill.

Only the correct spring allows a balanced movement and protects the geared motor from premature wear.

How to balance the spring correctly

1. Unlock the barrier and put it in manual mode.

2. Bring the rod to exactly 45°.

3. In this position, the pole must remain perfectly still, without rising or falling.

4. Adjust the spring until you get the ideal balance.

Advice for the installer

• Always check the model and date of manufacture.

• Never use "similar" springs or other models.

• Proper balancing reduces consumption, wear and vibration.
