JA592 – Automatic gate control unit GENIUS compatible FAAC 455D 452 MPS 401 402 450 MPS

The JA592 GENIUS control unit is an electronic board designed for the control of automatic gate automations with 230V motors, compatible with numerous systems of the FAAC-GENIUSfamily.

Thanks to the electronic platform shared between the two brands, this control panel can be considered equivalent to the FAAC 455D, 452 MPS, 401, 402 and 450 MPS boards, making it an ideal solution for replacing faulty or obsolete control panels in existing systems.

The control unit is programmed using dip-switches and trimmers, a simple and reliable system that allows you to quickly configure all the main automation functions. Operation diagnostics are entrusted to control LEDs, which indicate the status of the inputs and allow you to quickly check if the safety devices are correctly closed.

On the board there is also the connector for FAAC and GENIUS radio receivers, which allows you to manage the system's radio controls. It is important to know that the receiver is not integrated into the control panel and must therefore be installed separately. In the case of replacing an existing control panel, it is possible to remove the receiver from the old board and insert it directly on the JA592, thus maintaining the same remote controls already in use.

The board also has inputs for limit switches, a feature necessary for the management of motors that require this type of control during the opening and closing phases.

If I have a fault on the 455D FAAC control panel, can I use the JA592?
Yes, the JA592 and FAAC 455D are technically equivalent powerhouses. The main difference concerns the programming system:

• the 455D uses a display,

• the JA592 uses dip-switches and trimmers.

From a functional point of view, the control panels perform the same operations and the radio receiver can simply be moved from the old 455D to the new JA592.

If I have remote controls FAAC can I use the JA592 GENIUS?
Yes, you can. However, it must be remembered that the JA592 control panel does not have an integrated radio receiver. To use the remote controls already present on the system, simply move the receiver from the control unit FAAC faulty to the new JA592.
