How many times do you want to install photocells but the passage of cables is very difficult? Or is there a cable passage but only on one side? MIRROR-PH is the ideal solution in all those situations in which it is possible to bring the photocell cable only to one side, very often the one where the control unit is present.

Another application of the retroreflective photocell is that of the automatic barrier. In this case, the side of the body that contains the engine and the control unit is easily accessible, while on the other side it is difficult to activate. With MIRROR-PH it is enough to fix the reflector to the fork pole or to the wall and without passing other cables you can install the optical safety protection.

How does a retroreflective sensor work?

The operation is based on the reflection of the infrared ray emitted by the photocell, through the use of a special "mirror" called a reflector. This particular object reflects the infrared of the photocell in a perfect and focused way in order to avoid disturbances due to other lights such as car headlights or the sun. The photocell also emits a polarized infrared beam and is only able to read it by receiving it. This particular system makes the photocell even more immune to external interference.

What distance does the retroreflective sensor cover?

The maximum distance at which I can install the photocell and its reflector is 10m in the case of a 24V power supply. In the case of 12V power supply, this distance may not be fully covered due to the low power supplied during the power supply phase.

How do I check the alignment of the retroreflective sensor?

This is very simple, just see the LED on it. If the LED is solid red, it means that the alignment is not satisfactory, if it is green, the alignment is perfect. A special system can also detect if the reflector or slide is dirty. In this case, the LED flashes red/green.
